About QR Best

A QR code generator that does not ask who you are before it will do its job.

Why this exists

Most QR code generators want something from you first. Some hold the download behind a sign up. Some hand you a short link that runs through their servers, so the code stops working the day they shut down or start charging. Some quietly track every scan.

QR Best takes the opposite position. Type what you want to encode, style it, download it. The code points at exactly what you typed, with no redirect in the middle, so it keeps working for as long as your own link does. Nobody can turn it off.

How it works

The whole generator runs in your browser. The text you enter is turned into a QR matrix and drawn on your own device, and the exported PNG, SVG, PDF, or EPS file is produced there too. Building a code sends nothing to us.

That is also why the styling can be as adventurous as it is. Because the code is redrawn live on every change, the tool can offer module shapes, eye styles, rotation, colour, and a centred logo, and show you the result immediately rather than round-tripping to a server.

The Randomize button

The largest button on the screen shuffles the style. It is deliberately the most prominent thing in the interface, because the hardest part of making a QR code look good is not knowing which of several hundred combinations to try. Press it until something catches your eye, then lock the parts you like and press it again.

What it does not do

  • No tracking. There is no analytics product on this site, no tracking pixel, and no session recorder. See the privacy page for the full account, including what an ad network does set.
  • No forced account. You can build and download without signing in. An account exists only to keep a history of your downloads.
  • No short links. Your QR code encodes your URL, not ours. It does not expire and it does not depend on this site continuing to exist.

What pays for it

Advertising, and credits for people who download a lot. Serving files, storing uploaded logos, and running the accounts all cost money, and this is the arrangement that keeps the tool free for someone who needs one code for a poster.

Learning more

The guides cover the parts of QR codes that decide whether a design scans: error correction, logos, print size, and quiet zones. They are worth ten minutes before a print run.
